Nantucket High School

Project Description
We have started to collect books for a small STEM library that we are keeping on the STEM floor here at Nantucket High School. We have already collected a small number of popular science books, many of which are out on loan now, and we would like to expand our collection to offer as many books as we can to our students.

How will the project be evaluated (e.g. how will you gauge its success)
Success will be students borrowing books, sharing ideas, recommending books to others and ideally being inspired to pursue projects or even college majors in STEM fields.

Benefit to the students and the school
The benefits include fostering a love of learning and an appetite for reading, two incredibly important traits that need to be nurtured to be fully developed.

Timeline of Project (when will you do the project, if applicable)
This is an ongoing project that we hope to continue growing, and possibly expand into the middle school in the future.
