Oak Ridge School

Project Description
With this grant we will have the opportunity to purchase two software applications, StoryboardThat! and BrainPop. These applications will help our students (across multiple grade and ability levels) to understand concepts in health, art, and technology. With Brainpop, students can visualize complex concepts by watching cartoons with age-appropriate characters and language. additionally, students can play interactive games and design presentations to reinforce their learning. StoryboardThat! is a storyboard creator that allows students to create social stories to illustrate concepts that they have learned. Both programs are valuable tools in teaching to various learning styles as well as addressing the socialemotional needs of our students.

How will the project be evaluated (e.g. how will you gauge its success)
Educational impact will be measured via student feedback, in-class discussions, and through student-created presentations and storyboards.

Benefit to the students and the school
Success in this project is regular use of the tools across multiple curriculum areas.
