Waypoint Academy School
The students will work in small groups to complete a series of modular courses that will prepare them for first aid, CPR and AED exams. At the end of training, students will participate in both a hands-on and written assessments. After successful completion of the course, students will receive their certification, as well as a CPR personal safety kit.
How will the project be evaluated (e.g. how will you gauge its success)
We will successfully certify each of our high school students in CPR & First Aid & AED skills.
Benefit to the students and the school
This will not only benefit each of our high school students, but also their families and communities by giving them the skills necessary to respond effectively to emergency situations. Who knows how many lives will be saved by our certified students?
Timeline of Project (when will you do the project, if applicable)
Starting in our Spring term, every Waypoint Academy high school student (30) will be begin the certification process.
