Project Description

The Dyslexie Library section will be able to provide students with reading disabilities books that have a typeface font called Dyslexie that limits the amount of letter reversals, tracking difficulties, mirror images, etc. of which typically can occur when students with reading disabilities read text.

How will the project be evaluated (e.g. how will you gauge its success)

Students and teachers will check books out of the library with the Dyslexie font at least once per month. Teachers will use them for silent reading activities, family reading nights, and group work as needed.

Benefit to the students and the school

All students can have access to the books, but especially students with reading disabilities will benefit from the “user-friendly” font.
